LJ Hooker Inverell is located at 30-32 Otho Street, in the heart of our thriving town.
Approximately 430km south west of Brisbane (5 hours drive), 578km north west of Sydney (7 hours drive).
 
One for the tourist’s map, Inverell is known as the “Sapphire City” for its sapphire mining history. Situated on the Macintyre River and positioned on the Gwydir Highway, an east-west highway linking the Newell and New England Highways, Inverell is considered a must-visit tourist destination.
 
Inverell has a waterway which stretches as far as southern Queensland, with everything from fishing, crabbing, canoeing, swimming, recreational boating and waterskiing available for water enthusiasts.
 
We are blessed with national and state parks, a flourishing local business centre, agricultural and agricultural-based industries and has a vibrant community life. Inverell has grown to a Shire with a population of 16,936 (as of 2016 census). In 2016, Inverell was named one of the fastest growing inland communities in NSW.

Inverell has a rich arts, community and sporting culture, with many annual events, including the Inverell Sapphire City Festival and Grafton to Inverell Cycling Classic attracting many visitors to the area. Other annual events include the Inverell Show, Great Inland Fishing Festival, Sapphire City Festival, Opera in the Paddock, Sapphire City River Run and many more. Our community supports a range of sporting activities and enjoys many competitions ranging from indoor sports to field hockey and touch football, plus many more.
 
Transportation options are available to explore Inverell, with a local bus service offering low cost travel to and from the town centre. There is also a CountryLink Bus Service from Inverell to Tamworth and Armidale connecting with the rail service to Sydney. Daily flights from Inverell to Brisbane.
